Muddy Waters only recorded a handful of tunes in Open D tuning and they all pretty much follow suite to what you'll learning in You're Going to Need My Help I Said. A combination of Elmore James like-slide up to the 12th fret mixed in with Muddy transposing his Open G runs to Open D makes for an interesting mash up of techniques.
