Bo Weavil Jackson's real name was James Butler. He was one of the first country bluesmen to be recorded in 1926, for both Paramount and Vocalion Records. On the latter label he was credited as Sam Butler. "You Can't Keep No Brown" is a tour de force in bottleneck blues playing and a must for you to tackle.
