Bo Carter was one of the few country blues artists who enjoyed a long recording career, spanning from 1928-1940. Recording both solo and with the Mississippi Sheiks, "Bo Carter" Chatmon was best known for his bawdy songs like, "Banana in Your Fruit Basket," "Please Warm My Wiener" and "My Pencil Won't Write No More."
