"Tennessee Waltz" was a big hit for Patti Page in 1950. It is a popular country song with lyrics by Redd Stewart and music by Pee Wee King[1] written in 1946 and first released in January 1948. Many artists have recorded this tune from Connie Francis to Otis Redding to Chet Atkins.

I thought it an interesting challenge to set my arrangement in an Open D tuning. The tuning allows for a rich and full sound for the melody.
