Played in the key of G. This is a very jazzed up version of the ubiquitous hokum chord progression famously used for “Alice’s Restaurant” and hundreds of Raggy blues tunes of the 1930s. There are many little mini progressions and chord tricks in this one that make it a lot of fun to play. Also, many of the same sort of moves are used in lots of standards, so this tune is a bit of a jazz chording workshop.
