He is approachable, educated about his chosen subject matter, passionate about teaching you and willing to share of himself. I cannot think of a better recommendation for a teacher. Review: This DVD, along with Grossman's Fingerpicking Guitar Techniques, is the best path I have found into learning this style of playing. Fingerpicking Guitar Techniques spends more time, as its title suggests, on working through basic techniques, so it's the place to begin. But the songs early on in this dvd aren't any harder than the songs midway through the other one, and I at least like the song selection here better. And these songs are arranged to gradually build technique as well, each one a bit more complex than the last, with some new technique introduced.
