Denver Blues is one of Tampa Red’s standout out instrumentals. There are only a few parts which repeat throughout but the trick is making the piece sound musical and not just individual parts. This is one instance where the melody establishes the rhythm and then the bass fills in feeling somewhat scattered which does take some getting used.
