Boom Boom is one John Lee Hooker's most popular tunes and for this lesson Tom Feldmann takes you through the rare solo electric live version and you'll be treated to John Lee Hooker performing the tune. Almost all the recordings of this tune are with a band and it's great to hear Hooker solo as it gives great insight into how he played this piece in his one chord E position fashion which typically gets buried under the band. The opening riff is immediately recognizable, and used elsewhere (Dimples, etc.,) and the various right hand techniques taught will certainly give you a workout. You'll also learn Hooker's great guitar break playing E in A position at the 9th fret.
