After learning arrangements in the key of C by Charlie Patton, Frank Stokes and Elizabeth Cotten I realized that playing in the key of C can achieve many interesting melodic and dynamic sounds. The first position C chord can be moved up and down the fingerboard with interesting results. Elizabeth Cotten's Delia is a great example of this. For this original three part instrumental I explored these sounds and fingerings to hopefully produce a lyrical composition.
